In 2011, we had more than 4,500 participants and raised more than $500,000 for brain cancer research at MD Anderson and pediatric health initiatives at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE
6:30 a.m. Late Registration/T-Shirt Pick-Up
8 a.m. 5K Fun Run/Walk Begins
8:30 a.m. 1K Family Fun Run/Walk Begins
9:15 a.m. Awards Ceremony

THE COURSE
The race starts outside the Coca-Cola entrance of Reliant Stadium. Watch the sky for Life Flight to lead the way. The scenic course winds around Reliant Park and down Murworth, ending with the runners and walkers entering Reliant Center.

The course is certified (TX09O32ETM). Runners who are not chip timed are responsible for their own times and should pay attention to the time clock when crossing the finish line. The race is closed to all wheels except non-competitive wheelchairs. Strollers are permitted; however, we request participants with strollers move towards the back behind the walkers.Pets are prohibited.

PARKING
FREE PARKING will be available until 8 a.m. Vehicles must enter Reliant Park from Kirby at McNee through Gate 10. All vehicles will park in Red Lots 2 and 4. These Lots will be clearly designated.

GENERAL
- Pin race numbers on the front of your shirt or shorts.
-Competitive runners: Your chip/tag will be attached to your bib number. Follow directions to attach the tag to your shoe.
- Portable restrooms will be available near the starting line and along the course adjacent to the water stations.
- Walkers must line up BEHIND the runners and strollers must line up BEHIND the walkers.
- The race is closed to all wheels except non-competitive wheelchairs.
- Pets are prohibited.

SAFETY
Please be cautious! We have made every effort to control traffic along the course, but there are always people who may get through. Also, watch for any other hazards along the course. Runners and walkers are expected to follow directions from all race officials. HISD officers will be stationed around the course for traffic control and safety measures.

WATER AND MEDICAL AID
Water will be available at the start and finish lines and at water stations along the course. Drink plenty of liquids before the race and do not run in this race if you are not sufficiently trained. If the temperature and humidity are high on race day, adjust to a slower pace. First aid personnel will monitor the course. If you need medical assistance during the race, contact a first aid person or police officer and/or stop at a water station.

1K FAMILY RUN/WALK
The 1K Family Run/Walk for children 12 and under and those desiring a shorter course will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Start Line and wind around Reliant Park. All children completing the 1K will receive a medal.

POST-RACE PARTY
Immediately following the conclusion of the run, a party will be held in Reliant Center. Enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, activities for children and the awards presentation.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the overall male and female finisher. Age group awards will be given to 1st – 3rd place male and female finishers in the following categories: 12 and under; 13–14; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70 and over. To be eligible for an award, participant must be chip timed and registered for the competitive 5K Run. All children participating in the 1K Family Run/Walk will receive a medal. All wheelchair finishers will receive an award. There will be no duplication of awards.

KIDS AREA will have Topper, an inflatable obstacle course, clowns, face painting, balloon animals, and more!
